George Carver (1864-1943) the agricultural chemist was born in Kansas,durring the war between free soilers and slave holders.he studied in Iowa State College and graduated in 1894 with a degree in agriculture.he discovered over 300 marketable products made from peanut,including mayonnaise ,cheese ,shampoo and plastics.from sweet potato he discovered over 150 new uses including library paste,vinegar,starch and molasses.
